Groupsymmetry administrators looking to monitor performance or collect troubleshooting data may find it useful to review Groupsymmetry's log files and the Runtime Configuration report Groupsymmetry can produce.
Component Log Files
The following is the default location for the log files kept by each of Groupsymmetry's components. These may be changed (along with other logging settings) during installation and configuration.
- Engine and Sync Operations: %ProgramData%\Condrey Corporation\Groupsymmetry\Engine\log
- Event Monitor: %ProgramData%\Condrey Corporation\Groupsymmetry\Event\log
Note that this is %ProgramData%, not %ProgramFiles%. This is a default Windows directory and is hidden by default.
Runtime Config Report
The Runtime Config Report contains a dump of Engine configuration details; policies; queued events; and more. It is useful both as a troubleshooting document and as an archive of configuration data.
To generate a Runtime Config report, log in to the Groupsymmetry web interface and select Runtime Configuration in the left-hand menu. Click Export Runtime. Once the report is generated, you can select that report as a text file. Clicking a report in the list will attempt to open that report in your browser; it can be saved normally as needed.
